Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. They may use techniques such as spinal adjustment, joint mobilization, and soft tissue release to restore function and improve biomechanics. Therapeutic exercise is a mainstay of Chiropractic care for injury prevention and maintenance of joint health.


Massage Therapy

Registered Massage Therapists are health care professionals committed to restoring and maintaining optimal health and movement of the body. They are educated and trained to accurately assess and treat with techniques that include massage, joint mobilization, soft tissue release, posture work, and therapeutic exercise.


Post Rehabilitation Therapy (Exercise Physiologist)

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists are professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. They conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement strength training and conditioning programs, and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention.

After moving from North Vancouver to Calgary in 2007, Adam studied at the University of Calgary’s Human Performance Lab, obtaining undergraduate and graduate degrees in exercise physiology. Highlights of his time at the U of C included being named an All-Canadian while competing for the Dinos track and field team and interning with the Calgary Flames as a strength and conditioning coach. Following graduation, Adam worked as an Applied Sport Scientist in Vancouver, where he designed and implemented training programs for hockey, soccer, bobsleigh, road cycling, masters track and field and Red Bull athletes. Adam began working with tactical athletes from the Burnaby and Coquitlam Fire Departments in 2017, and returned to Calgary to complete a year working in the Wellness Clinic of the Calgary Fire Department.

Adam joins us with an enthusiasm for building strength in endurance athletes, and helping answer the question “how much should I be training?”. With a strong background in the science of strength and conditioning coaching, Adam is excited to expand the scope of care offered at Innovative and is looking forward to helping you reach your wellness and fitness goals. With over 26 years of clinical experience, Lori provides evidence based and innovative physiotherapy services. She has worked with people of all ages with various musculoskeletal / orthopaedic injuries.

Lori graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) degree from the University of Calgary in 1991. She was also a member of the varsity women’s soccer team and received the Gauntlet Sports Extra Effort Award and was named one of the Top Ten Academic Athletes at that time. She obtained her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Physiotherapy (BHScPT) from McMaster University in 1996. Upon completion of her degree, she went on to take numerous post graduate courses. In 2000, she completed her Intermediate Manual Therapy exam (Part A) and obtained her Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) certification. She had the pleasure of taking the course by the founder himself, Dr. Chan Gunn. She achieved the highest level of Manual Therapy certification, becoming a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT) in 2002. In 2016, Lori completed the Diagnostic Imaging course for physiotherapists from the University of Alberta.

Lori uses a combination of manual therapy, IMS, exercise prescription and education to help her clients achieve their goals and to live their best life possible. Although athlete is in the name, I work with anyone experiencing pain or wanting to get back to their normal activity. I believe in getting to the root of every problem to provide long term relief of your injury. I focus on hands-on treatments to ensure you leave every appointment feeling better than when you came in. As someone who grew up with chronic injuries, I am passionate about giving you the tools you need to rehab and manage chronic pain. I prioritise personalised exercise based rehabilitation as this is the key to getting rid of injuries for good.

Victoria is originally from Nova Scotia where her passion for sports and movement stems from growing up dancing, playing soccer, volleyball, track & field, and rugby. Victoria graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a double major in Human Kinetics and Human Nutrition. During her time at St.FX she was the Student Athletic Therapist for the X-Men Football team. Upon completion, she moved to Alberta where she began working as a Kinesiologist. After seeing the positive impact that physiotherapists had in their clients’ lives, she was inspired to start her career as a physiotherapist. She then moved to Glasgow, Scotland, where she graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy.

He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1999 with a special focus on Sports Performance and Injury Prevention in the youth athlete. Keith is a passionate movement specialist focused on helping his clients achieve long-term success with their rehabilitation and has extensive experience treating sports-related injuries.
